About Better Call Nikki
A Toronto cleaning company serving homes and businesses across the Greater Toronto Area.
Our Story
Better Call Nikki Cleaning Services was built from hard work, determination, and years of experience in the cleaning and hospitality industry.
Our Founder and Owner, Joany Fuentes Pena, came to Canada in 2009 with the goal of building a better future for herself and her family. As a hardworking Latina, mother, and dedicated professional, Joany started her journey as a housekeeper at a large resort in Muskoka. This was where she developed her passion for the cleaning industry and built a reputation for reliability, dedication, and quality work.
Joany later joined Summit Building Maintenance, where she worked for approximately 15 years, both full-time and part-time. During her time there, she progressed from cleaner to supervisor, gaining valuable experience in cleaning operations, team leadership, quality control, customer service, and staff training.
After Summit, Joany joined Novotel, where she spent two years coaching and continuously training housekeeping staff. Her years of experience taught her that successful cleaning is about more than simply making a space look clean. It is about attention to detail, consistency, professionalism, teamwork, and building trust with clients.
Joany eventually helped create Better Call Nikki Cleaning Services. After several months, she decided it was time to move forward independently and build the company around the values and experience she had developed throughout her career.
What We Stand For
Reliability
You get a cleaning day and we keep it. If something has to move, you hear about it from us in advance rather than finding out when nobody turns up.
Respect
Your home is your home. Shoes handled the way you ask, pets kept in mind, nothing moved without putting it back, and no photos of your place without asking first.
Quality
The same checklist every visit, worked top down so nothing clean gets dirtied on the way out. If something is missed, tell us and we come back and redo it.
Community
We're a Toronto business based in North York. We live here, we work here, and most of our clients came from someone else recommending us.
